Recent days have been hard for everyone trying to deal with the escalating COVID-19 situation. With COVID-19, the time to act is now. Deferred decisions and delayed actions have immediate and longer-term business continuity impacts.
At Knoldus, employee safety and wellbeing is paramount. Like all businesses, we are closely monitoring the coronavirus (COVID-19) outbreak. This is evident from the various steps that we have taken in the past couple of days in this regard.
What are we doing?
We have a global preparedness plan in place in the event anyone has contracted the coronavirus, with designated regional crisis management teams in Canada, USA, Singapore, and India who are prepared to execute additional measures in the event a location is directly at risk.
In connection with guidance provided by global health authorities, we have strengthened our office cleanliness measures. These actions include, but are not limited to, the following efforts:
- Hygiene:
- Increased daytime cleaning scope to sanitize all high-frequency touch-points more often
- Deep nighttime cleaning of the work areas and the offices
- Deep sensitization after work hours of the facility
- Ensuring sufficient stock levels of soap and soap dispensers
- Installation of hand sanitizer dispensers available at the building entrance or in pantry areas
- Awareness campaigns:
- Reaching out to all individuals, sharing details of hospitals and centers for addressing the Corona Virus impact.
- Regular updates on Do’s and Dont’s
- Remote Working:
To minimize business disruption and protect employees while adhering to the advisory of social distancing, we have instituted a 14-day “Work From Home” policy. WFH arrangement for Knoldus teams till 31st March 2020
With many people confined to “Working from home”, here are a few tips to help you maintain a healthy work-life balance
✅ Wake up at a normal time and create a routine
✅ Set specific working hours
✅ List daily tasks and stick to them
✅ Take proper lunch and coffee/tea breaks
✅ Have a designated workspace and it should be separate from your relax space
✅ Use FaceTime, Messenger, Skype or other video calling services to keep in the loop
✅ Set ground rules with the people around you to maintain productivity
✅ Don’t hesitate to ask work for what you need
✅ Get fresh air – open the window, go in the back garden, etc
Please share your tips in the comments.
We want to be clear that WFH won’t change how we work with our clients and partners, or our ability to provide the quality service that you rely upon.
Continuing our efforts in the same direction and keeping in mind the wellbeing of our fellow Knolders, Knoldus has decided to cover all our Knolders for COVID-19 Insurance Coverage of INR 5 Lakhs in collaboration with our Mediclaim partners.
Although for the time being our region is mildly affected, we want to act fast and ensure we’re taking all the precautionary measures to avoid any risks and to help slow the spread of COVID-19.
Stay healthy, stay connected, and stay awesome.
