Hey, Scala community! The future of technology is incredibly complex. Dotty Project or Scala 3 is on the horizon, and Knoldus wants to explore new directions that will benefit and excite technology users. The purpose of this brief survey is to find out what is your experience as a developer, your expectations for Scala 3, and your view on the future of Scala.
Knoldus is also gearing up to produce hundreds of new tutorials. We’re already working on the curriculum and released a few videos. But before we record further, we want to know what training you need first.
Who should take part in the survey?
If you do any Scala development work, no matter how much or how little, – as a developer, expert, hobbyist, or student; we would love to hear from you. This survey is simply a survey to help highlight some of the most widely-used tools that the Scala community use for their projects.
Are there any perks for the participants?
There are some perks to go with your participation if you submit your opinion about Scala 3. As a thank-you, you will be rewarded with Echo Show 8 – Smart display with Alexa – 8″ HD screen with stereo sound. Our committee will analyze all the answers and reward the best winner.

What’s in it for the Scala community?
It’s good to know what is being used, what works, but also what doesn’t work so well. If something causes troubles in everyday Scala development, we might be able to help address those areas. Your opinion will contribute and can really help library maintainers!
We hope it will help us all adjust our open source and training plans for the new reality. We’ll be publishing the insights from the Survey at the end of January 2021, where we will gather and comment on all the findings.
