Neo4j released a new version of Neo4j i.e. Neo4j 3.3.0. There are the lot of improvement and new features along with new UI. You can download the webImage from here.

Cypher and Write Performance & Scalability
In the latest release of Neo4j, Write performance increase by 50% compares to the previous version of the Neo4j. That means now we can write more data in less time. It replaces Lucene based schema with Transactional writes benefit from new native indexes. Bulk writes get boost 40% by reducing the memory footprint and leveraging virtual memory in RAM-constrained environments.
Cypher performance also increased by 70%-70% as per the internal testing.
Data Import, Integration & ETL
Earlier when we import data into Neo4j, it takes the lot of memory which now reduce by 40% and add page caching. Now it provides the support for importing and exporting data from HDFS into the graph and back again into HDFS files.
Upgrades for Graph Analytics
In the latest release, it has included new graph algorithms in APOC which are fast and impressive. Now user can use it easily. Along with that, it has made some significant growth while creating Cypher for Apache Spark (CAPS). Now it is not only for writing Cypher with a massively scalable, in-memory graph but its queries also return subgraphs. Now user can their complex query into the small query and execute it sequentially.
Security & Operations
In the enterprise edition, it has improved the security and operations also. Now its cluster supports the IPV6 and it is using Bolt which manages the security in the connections. Now it creates data transfer safe with Itra-Server Encryption and with the least-connected load balancing, it manages to remove the Round Robin selection in order to maintain the high throughput.
Now, Neo4j provided a desktop version where it creates an instance of enterprise edition on your local machine where you can install APOC and Graph Algorithms.
Desktop AppImage along with Browser
Along with this when we used Neo4j AppImage that time we have to install APOC for tour Database. You have to follow these steps:
- Select Project -> Select Manage -> Select Plugins -> Install APOC
- Restart the server and ready to run the APOC query.
These are some new features in the latest Neo4j version. These features will help the developer to use it more smoothly.
